Flu Shots, Drive Thru, Lenowisco Health District

Drive thru Flu shots are available each Monday and Wednesday by appointment at each Health Department in Cumberland Plateau Health District and Lenowisco Health District. Flu season generally peaks in December and January and it is important to be vaccinated before the flu begins to spread. Since it takes about two weeks for the flu vaccination to provide protection, the CDC recommends getting your flu shot before the end of October. Children receiving flu vaccine for the first time require two doses four weeks apart, so the first should be given in September to allow time for the second dose before the end of October. Please bring your insurance card to provide if requested. Do not attend if you are sick with COVID-like symptoms. Please wear a face covering when attending. Wearing short sleeves or roll up sleeves will be a big help. A parent or guardian must accompany those under the age of 18.
