Who We Are

The Mill House is a Clubhouse model day program for individuals with brain injury residing in the Metro Richmond and surrounding communities.

Clubhouse programs emphasize the power and value of meaningful work.  Clubhouse members work side by side with staff to run all aspects of the program to regain work skills and behaviors necessary to return to work and become more independent.  Clubhouses offer individuals a place to belong, a social network, and an opportunity to break the social isolation that can follow a brain injury.

Through the structure of the work-ordered day and participation in the work units, individuals regain the work skills and behaviors necessary to return to work and develop independent living skills. The work units include:

  • Communications Unit
  • Advocacy Unit
  • Kitchen Unit
  • Maintenance Unit
