Who We Are
Williamsburg United Methodist Church sponsors Respite Care, an outreach community ministry, providing a stimulating social environment for seniors in a safe compassionate setting. For each participant, an individualized activity plan is developed.
Diverse activities include arts, crafts, music, movement, games, educational discussions, reminiscing, and refreshments. Participants are older adults with, but not limited to, Dementia, Early-stage Alzheimer's, Mental and Physical Challenges. All inquiries are welcome.
Participation is capped at 12 members per day to provide a safe, family-like environment. Five (5) staff (plus volunteers) ensure that your loved one is engaged and safe while with us in the afternoon.
An interview is required before enrollment with the caregiver and the respite candidate to ensure appropriateness. Open Monday - Friday 11:45 am to 5 pm.
