Disaster Preparedness Education

OEM's mission is to provide the highest level of emergency preparedness for the residents and visitors of Arlington.   Critical service areas of the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) include emergency preparedness, including public involvement, integrated training and protocols, and day-to-day operation of the Emergency Communications Center.

VDEM works with local government, state and federal agencies and voluntary organizations to provide resources and expertise through the four phases of emergency management--preparedness, response, response, and mitigation.
