Who We Are

ARC House, a program of the Eastern Shore Community Services Board, serves adults who have varying levels of developmental disabilities. 24-hour (awake) staff provide training, supervision and assistance in all areas to include personal care, everyday living skills and recreational and leisure activities.

The staff assist with all aspects of each person's needs since this is their home and are their primary caregivers. Community activities such as going to the movies or out to eat are an important part of the group living experience just as if living with family. Conversely, individual activities are accommodated whenever possible as well. Residents attend the day support program Monday through Friday, or less often if age or infirmary requires less participation.

Residents are supervised by staff 24 hours per day, every day. Emergency services clinicians are on-call 24 hours per day, every day. During business hours, call or come to the emergency services building located at 10106 Pine Avenue, Nassawadox, Virginia, 23413. After business hours, call and ask to speak to the emergency services clinician on call. The clinician will return your call.
