Who We Are

A facility of Harrisonburg City Parks, “A Dream Come True” Playground is located off of Neff Avenue on Thomas Bowers Circle.

This playground is an accessible and inclusive playground with many unique and one-of-a-kind features.  The playground has separate equipment for two to five-year-olds and five to 12-year-olds plus more equipment for fun. Features include a rock, rainbow arches, shade structures, roadway, hammock swing, draw wall, pavilion and family comfort stations that are fully accessible.

The comfort stations close for the winter months and open again in the spring. The park will remain open year-round unless the temperature is 32 degrees or below or the ground is frozen.

The "A Dream Come True" Playground pavilion is available for reservation with a rental fee. The pavilion has no lighting, electricity, or grills. Due to safety concerns, outside grills are not allowed on the property.
