Center-based Respite Care

The Northern Virginia Training Center (NVTC) is a state residential facility which has approximately 200 beds.

Respite care is offered if space is available for up to 21 consecutive days or 35 calendar days in a given year.  Residents must not require skilled nursing care.

Respite services are only available when there are no alternative placements available which are less restrictive.  In order to access services, families should contact their local Community Services Board.

The NVTC is operated by Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services and licensed by the Virginia Department of Health. Convenient to Metrobus.
