Respite Services

IDA of the New River Valley offers respite care to families of children and adults with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Evening activities are held during the school year for children from 8 years of age through adult.  All participants are challenged to improve skills, develop friendships and understand each other's capabilities. Programs include bowling, holiday dances, basketball, swimming, craft classes, fishing rodeo, and more Call for information.

During the summer, a five-week day camp is offered for school aged children 6-21 years of age.   The duration may vary; exact dates change each year.  Transportation is provided from various central ponts in the New River Valley.
