Who We Are

Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Service Board (HRCSB) offers making behavioral health wellness and substance use prevention services to the community. The Behavioral Health Wellness team promotes protective factors such as effective parenting, community involvement to decrease the risk factors of truancy and early initiation of first time alcohol or drug use. The program goal is to build healthy youth, families and communities in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham area.  Using the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), the team assesses the needs related to substance use prevention and behavioral health promotion in our community. The program mobilizes stakeholders including, but not limited to, local schools, primary healthcare, local law enforcement and other youth-serving organizations.
