Recreation

Newport News Parks, Recreation and Tourism provides various recreational programs and facilities, parks, fishing, sports, Mature Adult Programs and much more for residents and visitors of all ages. 

Over 250 instructional recreation classes are offered that include but are not limited to, gymnastics, art, fitness, computer training and many more. 

A quarterly newsletter is available for active adults 50 and over (Active Lifestyles Program) to find classes and events that promote well being and socialization.  

Youth programs for children include before and after school programs.
