Who We Are

City of Fairfax offers sports and games, music, dance, field trips and swim trips, special interest classes, Teen Center, Summer Day Camp, Senior Center. Recreation activities for all ages. Coordinates special events like July 4th parade, etc. The Department maintains 14 parks, public gardens and trails owned by the City of Fairfax.  Visit Park Directory

The Young at Heart Senior Center is open to all seniors age 55 and older and is located at 4401 Sideburn Road in Fairfax. The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5 PM.  Call 703-273-6090 for more information or email SeniorCenter@fairfaxvva.gov.

The "Young at Heart" publication is now part of the Parks and Recreation Department's quarterly magazine "Leisure Times". To be placed on mailing list call 703.359.2487.
