Sports, Parks, Pools & Recreation

Prince William County Parks and Recreation offers indoor and outdoor sports facilities; softball, football, and soccer fields; basketball, tennis, and racquetball courts; picnic areas; swimming pools; water slides; game rooms; golf; marina and lake; paddle boats; playgrounds, nature and fitness trails; gymnasiums, aerobics and weight room.  

In addition to sports facilities, there are 2 fitness centers in the county: Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center and Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center. The Centers offer wellness programs and fitness programs for all ages.

Parks and Recreation maintain several parks and community centers. 

Prince William County Parks and Recreation administers 42 park sites offering various activities including community centers, miniature and public golf courses, driving ranges and batting cages, two comprehensive indoor recreation centers, parks, water parks, skateboard parks, canoeing, boating, and fishing opportunities. Prince William County Parks and Recreation offers concerts, plays, music, puppet shows and family entertainment at Locust Shade Park in Triangle. Amphitheater seats 500 and is outdoors. Located off Interstate 95.

The Jean C. Smith Amphitheater offers a bench area and extensive lawn seating, protected by a shade structure. Summer entertainment also features local children's acts.
