Cancer | Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection
Virginia Beach Health Department
Who We Are
Virginia Beach Health Department provides information about Every Women's Life (EWL) program, a public health program that helps uninsured, low income women gain access to free breast and cervical cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduce death rates and improve treatment options. If the health screenings are not provided on site, referral to a site will be made.
Provides activities to increase awareness of two major women's health issues: breast and cervical cancer; provides education about breast self-exams and other ways in which women can actively protect their health (risk factor education and ways to reduce risks).
