Who We Are

The Richmond City Health District strives to achieve and maintain optimum personal and community health for its residents by emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and environmental protection.  Most services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on income and include:

  • Community Services
  • Family Planning
  • HIV/AIDS Testing
  • Immunizations 
  • Sexually Transmitted Illnesses (STI) Testing and Treatment
  • Communicable Disease Control
  • Overdose Prevention/Substance Abuse Resources
  • Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition
  • Environmental Health
  • Vital Records--birth and death certificates
  • Emergency Response and Preparedness

Public health staff is available to answer health questions and speak to community organizations, schools, youth groups, and churches. Reference materials, informative pamphlets, and literature can also be obtained at the health department.
