Information, Education & Assistance for Senior Citizens

The Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens (AASC) informs older persons and the general public about the programs, services, and resources available to elderly persons and their caregivers. This is done through the agency newsletter (AASC Beacon), brochures, fact sheets, and resource guides; presentations to community groups; and media news releases and public service announcements.

Referrals are handled as needed. A newsletter is published every 4 months. The newsletter includes articles concerning federal, state, and local programs, news and pictures from local nutrition sites/centers and senior clubs, and other information of interest to seniors.

This service is part of the Care Coordination program
