Health Department

The health department serving Caroline County offers services to improve health through disease prevention, health promotion, and environmental protection.

The health department staff provides education and quality services to the community through the services of communicable disease control, health promotion, education, health screenings, environmental health protection, personal preventive health care where otherwise unavailable, ensuring access to needed care, and monitoring of community health problems. Most services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on income.  The immunization clinic is open for walk-ins every Wednesday but childhood immunizations require an appointment.

Public health services in Caroline County are provided by the Rappahannock Area Health District.
