Who We Are

Alexandria Division on Aging and Adult Services provides information about human services for residents of the City of Alexandria. Information on programs and services, and free information on topics such as advance medical directives, adult day health care center, directory of services for persons with disability, elder abuse and neglect, long-term ombudsman, services for older Alexandrians directory, Alexandria Senior Multicultural Directory, home care information and Virginia Insurance Counseling Assistance Program (VICAP) brochures.

Resources for Seniors to Senior Centers and daily lunches, exercise programs, wellness seminars, companion services, Life Safety Alert Systems, transportation, rehabilitation services, adaptive/assistive technology, employment opportunities, consumer information, plans for end-of-life decisions, health insurance counseling, adult protective services, conferences on issues of concern, and recreational and cultural programs.
Accessible by public transportation using Metro buses 10A, 10B, 10E, 10P from Braddock Road Metro Station.
 
We use bilingual staff within Alexandria Department of Human Services.
