Who We Are

Hampton Sheriff's Office participates in TRIAD.  A major purpose of Triad is to develop, expand, and implement effective crime prevention and education programs for older Virginians and to reduce the criminal victimization and unwarranted fear of crime affecting older persons.

Triad works to improve the quality of life for seniors by providing an active exchange of information between local law enforcement and seniors. committed to work with other law enforcement agencies to reduce criminal victimization and unwarranted fear of crime affecting older persons.

Hampton Sheriff's Office as well as the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), developed an organization known as TRIAD. TRIAD symbolizes the partnership between the sheriff, police chief, and AARP members to enhance the delivery of law enforcement services and the quality of life to this population. The Hampton Sheriff's Office has participated in a regional TRIAD since 1995.
