Who We Are

TRIAD is a national, state and local program focuses on reducing crimes against seniors through crime prevention education.  Hanover-Ashland TRIAD is a joint venture involving the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Police Department, AARP,  Hanover County governmental departments, human service agencies, civic groups, as well as seniors themselves.  The intent of the program is to provide information, seminars, brochures, and presentations to seniors to assist them and improve their quality of life, which in turn will help the county.  The Hanover County Sheriff's Office is a part of the National TRIAD, as well as a member on the Board of the Virginia State TRIAD.

Some of the programs offered by TRIAD are Adopt A Senior Program and Senior Citizens Police Academy.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 1:30 PM. Group meets the first six months of the year at the Ashland Police Department and the next 6 months at the Hanover County Sheriff's office. Mailing address is P O Box 40, Hanover VA 23069.
