Vocational Services, Intellectual Disability

The Intellectual Disabilities Unit contracts Vocational Services with one or more local providers to provide several vocational habilitation options for individuals with intellectual disabilities. These services are provided by an employment service organization that holds a certification with the Department of Rehabilitation Services.  These services are provided in a sheltered setting or in integrated environments.  Individuals who work in either are paid for the work they produce by either the contractor or by their employer.  All individuals accepted into the vocational program will work with a team to develop their individual service plan which guides the training and services they receive.
