Individual and Community Based Supported Employment

Provides job seeking skills to adults with developmental and/or intellectual disability.  Services include job assessment, employability skills instruction, job seeking skills practice, vocational skills development, behavior management and community participation. Call for more information.

Opportunities are designed to increase functional capacity, skill building, community access and employment. Employment Specialists at Mount Vernon-Lee Enterprises (MVLE) match individuals with disabilities with jobs that suit their skills and abilities with private business employers. Supportive services include training the individual for the work they are hired to perform, and routinely checking with the individual and their employer.

This service provides support from full-time on-site job coaches for groups of individuals in paid employment in community based areas. The community based program operates in cooperation with the center based and individual placement programs to identify program services based on individual service needs.
