Who We Are
The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program - Care is provided for patients with all types of brain injuries, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), brain tumors, infections and brain hemorrhages. An inpatient program as well as a day program and traditional outpatient services are offered.
Candidates for admission must have sufficient cognitive, communicative, physical, and behavioral abilities to participate in an intensive group treatment program. They also must reside within commuting distance of National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) and have a reliable system of transportation.
The program is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals with experience in the medical rehabilitation of persons with neurologic injury. Team members represent the fields of neurology, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation medicine, social work, speech-language pathology, therapeutic recreation, and vocational rehabilitation.
Bus Line: Metrobus H-4. American Sign Language; interpreters available for most languages.
