Support Group, Heart

Virginia Peninsula Chapter 119 of Mended Hearts provides a special interest organization which offers mutual support to persons undergoing heart surgery or heart disease patients, their family as well as professionals and interested persons. Also provides accredited visitors to offer support to cardiovascular disease patients and their families (both pre-op and post-op) when they are to undergo heart surgery.

The Visiting Program is volunteers who listen, share their own experience, answer questions and offer their support. Chapter meetings offer support in coping with emotions that accompany diagnosis, treatment or surgery. Internet visiting can be linked world wide so volunteers can communicate with heart patients.
Membership dues: Call for information about local Chapter dues and National dues. National Life Membership is a one-time payment; Chapter dues are paid annually, renewable at the month end of the enrollment anniversary.
