Work Adjustment Training (WAT) for Persons with a Disability

The Extended Employment and Long-Term Employment Support Services programs at Goodwill Industries of South Central Virginia assist individuals with significant disabilities to continue to learn appropriate behaviors and vocational skills needed to obtain and maintain competitive employment. This training is similar to Work Adjustment Training (WAT) but is long term in nature. These individuals require additional time and training to accomplish their specific employment goals.

Work Adjustment Training assists the trainee to pursue competitive employment, employment in a Sheltered program or further skills training. Includes orientation, counseling, referral, case management, Adult Basic Education, daily living skills instruction, job readiness, and job placement.
