Every Woman's Life Program for Breast Cancer Screening

The Bon Secours Richmond Health System participates in the Every Woman's Life (EWL) program, a public health program that helps uninsured, low income women gain access to free breast cancer screening services.  Screening and early detection reduce death rates and improve treatment options.

In some sites where EWL services are offered, women can also be screened for high blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose and also learn how to become more physically active, eat healthier foods, and more This program contracts with screening sites throughout Virginia to provide free mammograms, clinical breast exams to women who qualify. Tests provided will vary by the age of a woman.
