Career Services

Albemarle County Department of Social Services offers Career Services.  The Career Center provides career resources and services to prepare individuals that are informed, capable and ready for work.  Job seeker assistance is free and available to anyone that comes to DSS. The Career Center provides assistance in conducting a job search and provides guidance and support.

Services can include internet ready computer; resume software and services; cover letter and job searches; fax, phone and copier; resource library; newspapers and magazines; experienced career counselors; access to employer websites; and more.
