Who We Are

Arlington County Department of Human Services provides emergency financial assistance to pay medical, utility, and rent expenses in emergencies for needy individuals. Service is subject to the availability of funds.  Help may be available if the family has financial difficulty in paying rent, utilities, obtaining food, medical care, prescription medication, dental needs, transportation, eyeglasses and clothing.  The program also may provide asistance to individuals and families facing homelessness with finding shelter while working on securing permanent housing.
