Who We Are

The Rappahannock General Hospital's Bridges outpatient program allows the opportunity for counseling and group psychotherapy by licensed therapists. The psychiatrist oversees the care of all patients.  Program participants range from young adults to elderly patients, set in an environment focused on personal dignity, safety, self-reliance and quality of life.



Therapies offered are group, recreational, art/activity, individualized treatment plan, patient education, life skills development, family therapy, neuropsychological evaluations and therapeutic outings once or twice a month. Licensed/certified professionals clinicians provide therapy and specialized needs in the disciplines of nursing, social work and therapies.



Patients living within the Northern Neck are provided transportation to and from the hospital if needed. The initial assessment can be done at Bridges, the person's home or at the physician's office. Confidentially of patient involvement is strictly upheld.
