In Home Respite Care for Developmental Disabilities

Resources for Independence offers in home respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Services are designed to provide temporary, substitute care for that which is normally provided by the family or other unpaid, primary caregiver of an individual.  These short-term services may be provided because of the primary caregiver’s absence in an emergency or for the caregiver’s temporary need for relief from providing direct care and support to an individual.  Each situation is uniquely addressed by Resources for Independence to ensure that each individual and caregiver’s preferences and needs are met.
