Who We Are

The disAbility Resource Center is a Center for Independent Living that helps people with disabilities live up to their greatest potential of independent living. The dRC believes people with disabilities have a right to a purposeful life and community inclusion through participation in any and all aspects of their community. The dRC provides services to people with disabilities, their families, caretakers, and the community.

Services include information and resources, independent living skills training, peer counseling, advocacy deaf and hard of hearing services, youth advocacy and transition services, exercise classes, a durable medical equipment re-use program, DD Waiver case management, facilitation of nursing home transition coordination, help with Social Security benefits issues, guidance on home modifications and ramps and their funding, guidance on accessible housing, and workshops and trainings.
