Who We Are

Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) provides bus service to the greater Charlottesville area. Bus service is offered Monday through Sunday. CAT offers reduced fares for older adults and persons with a disability. Applications for CAT Reduced Fare Card are available at the Downtown Transit Station at 615 East Water Street in Charlottesville, Virginia. Buses are wheelchair accessible and offer bicycle racks.

Charlottesville Downtown Transit Station has hours of Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Sales and transportation hours vary. Most bus routes operate between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm.
