Medical Equipment Loan Closet

The Physical Therapy Department of Wilson Workforce Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) loans used and gently worn durable medical equipment to families who are not financially able to purchase such equipment or for which insurance coverage does not pay. Some of the items available for loan are manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, seating systems, cushions, communication devices, hospital bed, tub bench, canes, and crutches.



Recipients of some items (wheelchairs) must have physician's referral, assessment by physical therapist and meet other program criteria. Please call for more details. Individuals must meet the program criteria.



There is no charge and individuals may keep the item as long as needed. Please call to arrange pick-up when item is ready to be picked up. Some items may have to be fitted by therapist. If a truck is needed for pick-up and/or delivery, please give 48 hours notice. Availability depends on volunteer support and availability of truck.



All donations are welcome. The recycling program includes boneyard (parts, pieces, non-functional equipment), as well as functional, operational equipment in good condition.
