Who We Are
Mill Mountain Zoo is home to more than 175 animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates, including 7 endangered species. (Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Black Hornbills, etc).
Educational programs and learning opportunities about nature, animals, and wildlife. Zoo is on site and open to the public.
The Zoo promotes an appreciation and understanding of animals and habitat conservation using quality exhibits and educational programs. Provides education on wildlife and habitat conservation on zoo grounds and through off-site presentations. The zoo is a recreational facility housing exotic and native animal species.
Volunteers assist the keeper staff with daily routines, upkeep, exhibit care and maintenance, and conduct on/off-site outreach programs. Opportunities include marketing, horticulture, special events, photography, carpentry, etc.
