Advocacy, Mental Illness

NAMI Western Tidewater provides support, education, information and advocacy opportunities to families and consumers dealing with mental illness to improve the quality of life for both families and consumers. A support group meets twice a month and is open to both family members and consumers. Family-to-family education program provides a 12-week course for family members seeking knowledge of their loved one's illness and skills for working with them towards recovery.
