Advocacy, Dementia Issues

The Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area, works to protect and promote the legal, financial and long-term health care security of people with dementia, their families and caregivers. National Capital Area Chapter members are vital to the advocacy efforts at all levels of government in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC.  Advocates:

 

• Receive regular updates about current legislative and public policy issues.
• Stay on top of policy and legislative issues through alerts and updates.
• Make calls or write to legislators to forward public policy priorities to improve quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s.
