Who We Are
For Immediate Sympathetic Help (FISH) is a group of people who banded together to help their neighbors. With and through churches, The Clarke County Community Fund, the Red Cross, the Visiting Nurse Association and generous gifts of county citizens, FISH has helped people and families of Clarke County through crises situations by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and medical transportation. Volunteers interview applicants for financial assistance. Financial assistance, if funds are available, can be for rent or utilities.
FISH depends on volunteers to man the telephone in their homes (hooked up to the FISH number).
Financial assistance is only available to residents of Clarke County.
