Homeownership Program

Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation (VBCDC) purchases government-foreclosed properties, renovates them and sells them to qualified first-time homebuyers . VBCDC also assists buyers in purchasing homes on the market by providing special below-market-rate financing.  Buyers can receive down payment and closing cost assistance as well as homeownership education and counseling before and after they purchase a home through the program.  Seminars include:

• The role and responsibility of homeownership
• The home inspection process
