Therapeutic Recreation

Henrico Division of Recreation offers Specialized Therapeutic programs for individuals with disabilities. Programs include arts and crafts, dance and fitness, music and theatre, nature and outdoors, sports and more.



Nature and Outdoors program includes Sunday Fun-Day which is open to ages 13-19 with developmental disabilities who meet minimum eligibility requirements. Call Lizz Bapp at 501-7489 for more information.



The Great Outdoors is a program for ages 16 and older who have developmental disabilities. Hiking, crafts and campfire are the activities. Participants must be able to independently maintain own personal needs, tolerate 3 hours of moderate physical activities and follow staff direction.
