Socialization, Young Adults with Disabilities

Therapeutic Recreation Services of the Roanoke Valley (TRS) provides specialized and adaptive recreation and leisure services that empower young adults with disabilities to gain the knowledge and skills needed for the development of a leisure lifestyle that meets their interests and needs.  

Mingle is a social club for young adults with disabilities, ages 18 to 30.  The individuals participate in socialization, recreation and leisure activities at the Brambleton Center and wellness activities at Green Ridge Recreation Center.   Group members plan monthly outings in the Roanoke Valley area.



Mingle meets Tuesday or Thursday night from 7-9 pm.  Contact Kristen Russell at 772-7529 extension 2 to determine eligibility. An individual must be able to follow two step directions, be independent in personal care and have the ability to care for personal belongings and self administer any medication.



Transportation is not provided but staff will work with you to find a carpool ride.  Mingle program (January to May) cost $32.50.
