Basic Needs Assistance and Crisis Assistance

The Botetourt Resource Center (BRC) offers help to seniors and others in need.  Programs include small home repairs for qualified seniors, bill assistance, crisis assistance, and senior prescription program helps with co-payments.  BRC also sponsors a food pantry, food distribution programs and provision of clothes, appliances, furniture, etc., donated to the Center, to meet the needs of individuals and families in the community.

Families and individuals are helped with budgeting issues, clothing, food, crisis response (a bill, loss from fire, etc.) transportation, bill negotiation, filing public benefits, Medicare paperwork, birth certificates, health issues, housing issues, medical assistance (glasses, dental, hearing aids, etc).

BRC also periodically sponsors senior parties, senior aerobics, senior Bingo, Bingo for adults with special needs and senior transportation.
