CareConnect USA  a Collector Complaint Helpline by calling 1-800-379-0688.  Collection agencies must conduct their activities with regard to the law.  They are not allowed to call debtors early in the morning or late at night; they cannot call debtors on the job if they have been asked to stop; they may not share information about one's debt with another; they may not use profanity or make threats.  Victims of these actions may file a complaint and make the harrassment stop. Some victims may be entitled to compensation due to the reckless acts of a collector.
