Who We Are

Behavioral Health and Wellness Services at Goochland-Powhatan Community Services delivers services and collaborates with community members with the purpose of decreasing substance use and behavioral issues within Goochland and Powhatan Counties.

Services include:

5 Bridges: Holistic and practical wellness training by way of live and on-demand sessions.

Mental Health First Aid: Individuals learn to recognize and respond to youth or adults who might be using drugs or having a mental health crisis

Lock and Talk: Cable locks for guns and locking medication boxes are available at no cost

Revive!: Adults learn to recognize an overdose and learn how to administer naloxone

Medication Disposal: Home disposal kits are available free, use the permanent drop boxes at Goochland Pharmacy or the Goochland and Powhatan Sheriff’s Offices

ACEs Workshop: Adults learn about the effects of childhood experiences on daily life and in the community
