Who We Are

The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) offers Wellness, Health Promotion and Prevention Services to engage and involve the community in activities to strengthen emotional health and build community capacity to handle complications related to substance use and behavioral health.



Services are provided throughout the county and include:

  •     Coordinated, community focused workshops;
  •     Brief screening and intervention;
  •     Health and awareness raising campaigns;
  •     Evidence based programming;
  •     Efforts focused on high-risk populations or areas.

Current activities focus on priorities identified by the Community Services Board and the community, including:

  •     Suicide prevention;
  •     Behavioral health promotion;
  •     Underage drinking;
  •     Tobacco cessation and prevention;
  •     Primary health care integration;
  •     Prescription drug abuse prevention;
  •     Peer support;
  •     Safe handling of medications.

Wellness and Health Promotion provides several community programs designed to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles. Some of these programs are:

  •     Behavioral Health First Aid;
  •     Girls Circle;
  •     Leadership and Resiliency Program;
  •     Too Good for Drugs;
  •     Road DAWG;
  •     Al’s Pals: Kids Making Healthy Choices;
  •     ACT Against Violence: Parents Raising Safe Kids.

Emergency Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

Intake Process
Call or walk in. Adults ages 18 to 65 may walk in for a same day eligibility screening. Adults over age 65, children and youth, and people with development disability are served by calling Entry and Referral.
