The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter helps people with ALS and their families cope with the day-to-day challenges of living with ALS by providing information, resources, and support. All programs and services provided by the Chapter are FREE OF CHARGE. They include support and resources, ALS Multidisciplinary Clinics Assistive Technology (AT) Labs, and Equipment Loan Closets, and monthly support groups. The Association's network plays a lead role in advocating for increased private and public support of ALS research and public policy initiatives such as faster access to Medicare, creating the National ALS Registry, improving benefits for veterans and their families, as well as funding more than $99 million in research and clinical management projects. The ALS Association hopes to change the landscape of ALS with a spirit of collaboration and leadership.
