BIAV Brain Injury Support Group, Family Caregivers

Brain Injury Association of Virginia (BIAV) offers free, confidential consultations and referrals to help those affected by brain injury. They connect people to case management, community services, support groups, specialists, and more. BIAV also facilitates two statewide support groups and one Richmond-based group.

BIAV's virtual caregiver support group is designed exclusively for family caregivers supporting loved ones with a brain injury. The monthly meeting is facilitated by a trained, experienced BIAV staff person. Meetings focus on peer support, problem-solving, and education. The group currently meets virtually on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. (EST).  If you are interested in joining this group, please  contact Debra Holloway at debra@biav.net
