A program of the Central Virginia Alliance for Community Living (CVACL), the New Freedom Transportation program gives adults 21 and over who have a disability a “new freedom” of access to transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies, and grocery stores they did not have before.
This non-emergency transportation system is operated in conjunction with the Dial-A-Ride program. With the exception of the age requirement, the same rules and protocol apply. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available.

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. When CVACL offices are closed for holidays or inclement weather transportation is not available.
