Advocacy, Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Ability Center of Virginia, formerly Cerebral Palsy of Virginia, provides an opportunity for volunteers, agency staff and individuals who have disabilities to advocate for the rights of the disabled. This includes the right to education, housing, employment, health care, community services, social and recreation inclusion in the community and other important issues facing families who have a child or adult family member such as inclusive child care and Respite care.
