Who We Are

The Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. provides the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas with accessible, affordable, cooperative, and constructive methods of dispute resolution. An additional goal is to educate the public about these methods and to increase awareness in the field through professional commitment to quality and service. Services include mediation, facilitation and training. This program uses volunteers. Mediation for individuals, businesses, organizations, churches, divorce, contracts, employment, neighborhoods, business and industry. General medication session is, on average, two hours.

Mediating Senior Issues: The program helps adults, their families and their care providers communicate effectively and make decisions regarding issues that affect seniors such as independence, health care and distribution of estate.

Will mediate off premises when necessary to accommodate all in need of service.

The Center also plans and conducts dispute resolution and organizational development training for businesses, organizations, churches, local governments, schools and the general public; partners with the supreme Court of Virginia Office of Dispute Resolution and Virginia Western Community College to train, mentor and certify mediators.

The Center has initiated a Senior Program to train the staff of nursing and retirement homes and senior groups in basic mediation skills.
