Who We Are

The purpose of the Lynchburg City Health Department is to equip Virginians with the ability to achieve and maintain optimum personal health by emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, and environmental protection.

The health department offers environmental health services, immunizations and vaccines, HIV/AIDS testing and treatment, disease prevention (Tuberculosis (TB), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), inspection of public health facilities, rabies surveillance, prevention and control, family health services, as well as chronic disease prevention and treatment (arthritis, asthma, etc).  Please call or visit the website for more information.
