Who We Are
Project Mend-a-House offers housing repairs for seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities, and low-income residents of Prince William County. Services are free if income qualifies, otherwise, a donation is requested. Volunteers have built dozens of ramps, modified doors, secured flooring, added railings in bathrooms, repaired leaky faucets, fixed broken steps, restored electricity, trimmed shrubbery, removed brush, mowed lawns, painted, and made vast home improvements.
Repairs can include other carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Not convenient to a bus or a subway stop.
Languages: Recruits volunteer interpreters as needed.
